European Commission approved €1.8 million to Croatian scientists

Leaders of research groups from  Croatia are prof. Vlatka Zoldoš, from the Faculty of Science at the University of Zagreb and prof. Gordan Lauc, owner of the private research institutions Genos and professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy. Prof. Dragan Primorac was involved in this project since beginning.

During the press conference, EU Ambassador to the Republic of Croatia, H.E. Paul Vandoren, said:” European Union underline in strategic documents that the economy should be based on the knowledge-based economy and innovation.”. He also mentioned that  the aim of the European Union by 2020. is to invest 3% of GDP in research and development. “I firmly believe that in european science community we should have more organizations such as these from the Croatia who today successfully launched a new European research project.”, concluded ambassador Vandoren.
